LYNN WEST
Having been in the business of teaching and learning most of my adult life, I am now definitely in the learning mode about all of the earth friendly and sustainable products available for our homes and businesses. Teaching English to high school students in the inner city of Los Angeles, English as a second language to immigrants and refugees in the San Fernando Valley and writing and literature to community college students in Spokane and Olympia has prepared me well for tackling new challenges. The time has definitely arrived when we need to start worrying about how we are treating ourselves and our planet. Working at 510 Interiors has opened a window for me on how we can create healthy, green living and working spaces.
My husband, Bryan, and I are very fortunate to have all three of our daughters living in Olympia (one of whom is the owner of this store with her husband) and one son not too far away in Missoula, Montana. Even more fun is being able to spoil our six grandchildren, who range in age from ten months to seven years old. Life is never dull in our household, and it hasn’t been for quite some time now!
We have owned four homes over the years that we have remodeled, redecorated, and always very much lived in. If only we had known then, what we know now! I plan to continue learning about the fine range of products available at 510 Interiors and in sharing the spirit of hospitality and service with our customers that Rik and Jen have created in the showroom.
